St. Coletta School for Children With Disabilities

St. Coletta serves both children and adults with severe disabilities. You know the magical moment in Wizard of Oz when Dorothy opens the front door and her black & white world comes alive in vivid color? Then you know what it’s like to step inside St. Coletta of Greater Washington, a public charter-school in Southeast DC serving 251 kids & teens with disabilities. Brand+Aid created and produced two video spots featuring iconic architect Michael Graves's design inspired by children’s building blocks. (It’s also #1 on Washington Post’s 10 Must-See Buildings In Washington.) Day in and day out, the work St. Coletta does is nothing short of miraculous. But to do it well, they need workers who want to make the world better, brighter and a little more independent for students with special needs: Teachers; physical, occupational, speech & hearing therapists; classroom aides; admins; and other paraprofessionals. The pandemic left a hole in their critical and highly talented workforce; our campaign focused this urgent issue.
