Ads vs. AIDS Exhibit

On World AIDS Day in 2009 – to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the discovery of the AIDs virus in 1984 – Long View Gallery hosted an exhibit showcasing 25 years of HIV/AIDS-related advertising created by Jeff McElhaney, including many pieces while with Brand+Aid. The show featured 35 pieces including posters, ads, TV spots and other safe-sex propaganda items that garnered national attention from such media outlets as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Time Magazine, Playboy and ABC’s 20/20.
